OUR PHILOSOPHY


At Nicola's Tutoring, we believe in supporting the Whole Child.

Each child learns differently, thinks differently, feels differently and understands differently to others. They are unique, thus, our teaching style is unique; inspiring us to program high quality individual learning plans for each child. During each term, we focus on students strengths and weakness in a one on one learning environment where we can support their needs and ideas, both academically and emotionally. We believe in teaching the holistic child, alongside Australian government standards and regulations.

Academics, personal development and community service all play unique parts in our individually programmed lessons; as to guide students in accomplishing their goals. Through these three philosophical aspects, our students achieve high quality results in all they endeavour with the support of the team around the child. In order to support our philosophy of the Whole Child, Nicola's Tutoring incorporates family members, educational professionals and teachers in the programming and planning for students learning both in and outside of the learning environment. Our philosophy is to create an open, safe space for sharing information, between student, teacher, family and other personnel involved in the child’s learning or development. Through this, the child is supported from all angels, and encouraged to achieve goals set by the team around the child. We believe in open communication between parents and teachers on a weekly basis after every lesson in order to communicate progress and achievement. But most importantly, we believe in passion. A passion for teaching, a passion for learning, a passion for working with children, and a passion for building our teaching profession each and every time we step into our tutoring space.

By providing students with a fun, caring and comfortable learning environment, the Whole Child is welcomed to develop their educational skills.
